Rhododendrons

I have a modest sized rhododendron in the far corner of my garden that is more or less right underneath my large ash tree, and in summer when the tree is full of leaves, it's quite hidden and lost amongst the foliage. My question is, could I dig it up and replant in a large tub and show it off in it's glory as a patio plant?
