Urban roof gardens
Have just been reading about urban roof gardens, if you have a bit of flat roof, or a dormer window with a space outside, dont waist it get a lightweight planter out there, fill with compost and vermiculite so it isn't to heavy, and plant some lettuce, or endive anything that isn't a heavy bulky plant.
But make sure the pot is secure, dont want it slipping off and braining someone.
Oh and remember it will be heavier when wet

Oops I forget where I am sometimes
But I hadn't thought of a shed roof, that's a good one, long way for slugs and snails to crawl, great spot for growing salad leaves.
