Free Compost 17th May, between 10am and 3pm.
Calderdale Council will be helping to keep the borough's gardens blooming this spring and summer by giving away free compost recycled from streets and parks.

Compost recycled from autumn leaves and green waste will be available to collect on Saturday 10th May and Saturday 17th May.

The giveaway is part of a scheme to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill. Fallen leaves collected by street-cleaning teams are separated out and recycled into compost along with green waste from the borough's parks.

Just go along and collect your compost at the following locations - proof of Calderdale residency is required:

Manor Heath Park, Saturday 10th May, between 10am and 3pm.
Hare and Hounds pub car park, Todmorden, Saturday 17th May, between 10am and 3pm.

This Sunday May 18th, Swop shop at the Unitarian Church. Honey hole Lane

Have too many of one plant? not enough of another?
bring them along to the swop shop

There will also be gardening advice from a gardening expert.
