hello all, we're in the process of starting a garden from scratch, we live in a new-build so I thought a 'cottage garden' feel would detract from the angular nature of our surroundings. Up to now I've just been sowing a few seeds whilst my other half does the donkey work laying the patio etc. I'm keen to grow my own Rudbekia, yet after 21 days my seeds are not growing Any ideas what might have gone wrong? My Cornflowers and Cosmos are coming on ok and were planted at the same time.

hello sunflower have got much the same problem..have planted campanule from seed at same time as i did the trailing lobelia..and not a peep from the campanule ,but the lobelia are already outside .. have got no idea either am afraid it is my first growing season hope to have more info by the next..

ha have just been looking at my seed trays again... all the pots have started to show little green shoots.. they certainly took there time will hopefully be able to thin out in a couple of weeks..

are your seedlings grown now GF?

the campanule i planted from seed didnt do very well, have them outside now but they are very little weedy things,, i have been told the seeds were probably out of date (didnt know that could be ) but checked the packet they came in and its has a date from last year on it so it is probably right, will look out for that next time i buy seeds
